About Dr. Karen Massey
With compassion, I offer numerous counselling approaches for individuals and couples. These therapeutic approaches rante from the traditional talk therapy to working at the subconscious/unconscious levels through hypnotherapy, EMDR, and more recently Systemic Family Constellations and Movement of the Soul. I also offer workshops for Systemic Family Constellations and Movements of the Soul. All of these approaches are described in the Approach to Counselling section tab. I match the approach to your unique situation so that you can create new options, decide on solutions, then emerge into action.
My clients say that they appreciate the empathy, accurate understanding, opportunities for developing new possibilities, and experiential work which lead to discovering solutions and getting results to resolve their life challenges.
Prior to being a counselling psychologist I worked in the complimentary field of organizational psychology as a human resources manager in large organizations for many years. I have experience in employee selection, training, team building, program evaluation, job evaluation, career planning, and advising on work and family problems. This broad range of experience provides a solid foundation when helping you with work related issues so that you can find ways to lead a healthier physical and psychological life.
Reimbursement of Counselling Costs
Since I am a Registered Psychologist most insurance companies will reimburse some of the costs for counselling. Additionally, counselling is considered a health cost which is claimable for income tax.

Optional work with a Therapy Dog
Learn about the clinical benefits of counseling using a therapy dog. If you like dogs, you will appreciate the warmth and love that a dog generates during therapy and the humor that is evoked.
